Towering mountain peaks, blue Montana skies and magnificent pine forests provides the backdrop for your Montana vacation. Nestled in the midst of this beauty is serene Haymoon Ranch Resort. The ranch is a great place to retreat to after a day of experiencing our many local attractions from Whitefish to Glacier National Park.

World renowned Glacier National Park is just a short drive away from us. You’ll enjoy seeing the awe inspiring vistas of majestic mountain peaks in every direction, abundant wildlife, and impressive waterfalls. Don’t miss the “Going to the Sun Road” or seeing Lake McDonald Lodge, a turn of the century lodge, built in the grand style of the era. It’s easy to understand why Glacier is often called the “jewel of the continent.”

Big Mountain Summer & Winter Resort offers the “Walk of the Cedars”, miles of hiking and biking trails and a gondola ride that provides expansive view of the Canadian Rockies & the Whitefish Range with views all the way to Glacier Park.

Thirty-five miles long Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Viewing it on a Montana summer day with the surrounding Swan Range is nature at its most majestic. Just ten minutes from the ranch, Whitefish Lake, offers boat tours, boating and swimming.

Fishing and Fly fishing opportunities abound on our clear, wild Montana rivers, creeks and lakes

Whitewater Rafting, Canoeing, Horseback Riding, Kayaking, are all available. For the kids, there is also mini golf, “The Maze,“ Bear Country, and three separate water parks all located near the ranch.

After a day of play, relax and have a great dinner at one of our local restaurants. Dining for every budget is available. Galleries, Farmers Markets, Shopping, Theater, Night Life and special weekend activities round out the entertainment possibilities. Haymoon Ranch Resort with its tranquil setting on acres of lush lawns, lovely lake & gorgeous perennial gardens is the perfect spot in Whitefish to end your fun packed day.

OR HOW ABOUT FALL & SPRING?

Fall and spring are our shoulder seasons but offer their own charm. Enjoy the show that Mother Nature puts on as our Tamarack Pines turn colors in the fall. Gorgeous wildflowers abound spring and fall creating a bright background palette for hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking etc. There is also golfing on a warm fall or spring day at one of our seven local golf courses. Big Mountain Golf Course is less than five minutes drive from us. Montana’s reputation as a hunter’s paradise is well known. Spring hunting brings turkey & black bear and fall and early winter hunting includes deer, black bear, elk, moose, turkey, mountain goat, mountain lion & big horn sheep. It’s a little quieter in the Valley during these times, and a really fine time for a visit.

"What a perfect setting for our family reunion! Your grace and helpfulness was a wonderful example of what we found Montana to be. Thank you for making us feel both invited and comfortable. We will carry these memories always!
 The Sheire Family Reunion,
July 2004
